So here is the ultimate guide in quitting pmo (please read why you should quit PMO)

1. Intention. Firstly you need to be honest with yourself and accept that pmo is a major problem which needs to be dealt with. Once you accept pmo is a problem in your life then you are on the route to success, all you need to do now is make a firm sincere resolution that you will quit! What helped me was learning about the benefits of quitting pmo and learning about the harms of pmo.

 

2. Don’t feed the stream. Yes that means avoiding anything which might trigger you! so try to avoid social media, TV, reading erotic novels or listening to erotic audio, you want to try and cut off all sources of stimulation, so that means no peeking or edging. You should probably set your internet settings to restricted to ensure all adult content is filtered and blocked. If you can protect your eye’s and ears then it will be easier to control your thought’s. If you can control your thought’s then it will be easier to control your action’s. We ought to use our critical thinking more often instead of thinking with our……….

 

 

3. Meditation, the secret to quitting PMO By sitting quietly for a few minutes everyday entering into the meditative state, you mind starts to solve problems efficiently and you start to use more of the pre-frontal cortex,  your mind automatically performs therapy on itself, before anchoring itself in the present. The list of benefits of this is endless – happiness, inspiration, calmness, clarity, creativity, better relationships, better focus, a feeling that everything is like it should be.  All factors working together, creating synergy, making your life fall into place.

Meditation is the key to success in nofap, but many people don’t bother with it, I wish I had known about meditation earlier it would of saved me from hundreds of relapse’s, studies show that mindfulness meditation helps people with addictions, and you see the results instantly, it helps you to be more in the present, people who pmo daily are in a state of constant mindlessness  the opposite of mindful, and they are always overthinking about stupid stuff as well, they are lost in there thoughts.

Before meditation I was a mindless person, I quit pmo with meditation daily for about 15-30 mins, I noticed it made me more confident and helped a ton with my social anxiety, now when urges come to me I don’t react to them impulsively but rather I just sit there and I am able to enjoy the high sex drive. Its a part of me and I have learnt to accept it, there is nothing wrong with being horny, but we must learn to control it. So yes if your serious about this and you really want to change your life then start meditating, it helps a ton! literally just before you go to sleep just sit there, close your eyes and OBSERVE your breath, don’t try to focus, or try to suppress thoughts, just be.

4. Cold showersCold showers are key! Cold showers have definitely helped me along my journey, not only will it diminish your sexual desires but it will leave you feeling relaxed and more peaceful. the benefits of cold showers are numerous, one them being reduction of cortisol which is the stress hormone. You need to try it for yourself, I can’t describe the feeling, I like to take a cold refreshing shower right after my morning jog, it makes me feel content, manly, peaceful and also gives me an edge, making me ready to take on the day. Overall I find that I am very calm in stressful situations and I get through the day better.

Cold showers also increase your testosterone levels, which is something many people bodies don’t produce enough of due to certain habits and diet, especially people who pmo daily will have lower testosterone levels. A cold shower first thing in the morning is not easy and requires discipline, but will also increase your discipline, and will train you to get out of your comfort zone.

 

 

5. Diet. You have already heard this but indeed you are what you eat! You have to start eating healthy, if you eat crap then you will feel like crap, eat good wholesome foods and you will feel good. I don’t mean to be rude but just walk in to your local Burger king or McDonald’s and take a good long look at the type of people waiting in the line.That is not real food, it is fake food genetically modified, it can cause cancer, and obesity.  so a clean diet is necessary in this journey so that you may replenish your lost vigour and energy and overall just feel good, trust me your body will thank you later.

You want to also maintain moderation in certain foods you eat, some foods are hot in nature e.g Chillies, beef, avocados, potatoes, chicken, bananas etc, eating a lot of hot foods can increase internal body heat leaving you more prone to wet dreams and can result in excessive wet dreams which also drains your energy, so again maintain a balance by eating foods cold in nature for e.g cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberry’s etc. If I eat really spicy food then I end up having wet dreams which can be annoying , so I like to eat a lot of cucumbers and this in turn cools down my internal body heat and prevents wet dreams. I am not saying don’t eat foods hot in nature but rather maintaining a balance is essential

 

6. Kegel exercisesKegel’s are exercise’s used for strengthening and healing your penis, doing kegel exercise’s regularly will make make you last longer, stop wet dreams, and get rid of erectile dysfunction which are common problems people experience due to excessive pmo and it will also strengthen your Pelvic floor muscles which in turn will cure the symptom “leaky penis”.

 

 

 

7. Channelling your sexual energy. “what now?!?!? I spend most of my time indulging in pmo, that’s my only hobby!” Yes I know. Now that you have decided to quit pmo, you need to find a new hobby, start off with exercising daily, try running, weightlifting, swimming or join your local gym. I personally like to jog everyday the feeling is amazing. you dont have to become a body builder but just doing any healthy activity which promotes blood circulation and makes you sweat is what you need to be doing regularly. By sweating daily for about 20 mins will get rid of built up toxins in your body, it also helps you recover from PMO quicker and you will start to look more attractive after a month or 2, even though you might consider yourself to be ugly or unattractive, trust me it will change your life! you will thank me later.

 

I understand you might possibly  have social anxiety due to excessive pmo so you might not have the confidence to go out there yet, but don’t worry you should start working out at home or use a running machine or run in your backyard. You might even have very low energy, so you may not be able to exercise for long periods just yet, but it really does not matter! as long as you get your heart pumping daily. over time your energy levels will rise significantly! and your testosterone will increase due to semen retention and you can increase the length of exercise gradually.

 

Or if your like me who is just too damn lazy, I understand the feeling. When I first made the decision to actually get on the damn  treadmill and start running I found it super difficult, I would only run for less than 5 minutes and then stop, because I just could not bare it, I had literally depleted all of my energy through pmo and had weakened my will power and discipline muscles through constant self gratification, but I did not give up my friend,  I still carried on and done this daily and made it a habit. You see quitting pmo or doing the “NoFap” challenge is not about suppressing the sexual energy but rather to channel this energy towards beneficial things and getting rid of bad habits and replacing them with good ones.

 

Anyways  after sometime I noticed that I was able to run long distances easily, I started to enjoy running combined with cold showers, after a month or 54 days to be precise I looked in the mirror and just noticed my face really glowing! and that day I casually went to do some shopping and noticed A lot of attention from people especially those of the opposite gender, I was shocked and was just thinking to myself whats happening to me, why am I getting all this attention? I never really considered myself to be a good looking person turns out beauty is a such a thing which increases and can also decrease due to certain habit. Thousands of others have also reported experiencing this attraction phase of nofap,  to get to that stage quicker exercise is necessary, I can not emphasise enough on how important it is to exercise daily whilst undergoing this journey!

Read, read and read! Pick up a book for once instead of mindless surfing on the internet, reading has many benefits, it will make you more articulate and knowledgeable. fill your brain with knowledge, study successful people, imitate them and there is a chance you will also be successful. I don’t know what it is with pmo but for some reason pmo tends to make a person pessimistic, dull, bored, lifeless, with no ambition or goals or any structure in life its actually due to low t levels and a brain impaired by excessive dopamine. the average ceo reads about 50 books a year, books combined with action really do develop a person. I am not saying money is success but really depends on how you define it and whatever makes you happy.

I would advise you to read the famous book “Think and grow rich” by napolean hill, if the title made you scoff then you definitely gotta read it, it wont make you rich but it will help you develop a positive mindset to achieve anything you want in this world, it will change your perception and thinking for the better, trust me. They really should teach this book in schools, or every parent should at least buy this book for children in their adolescence.

 

 

 

10. Clean your room!!! Why??? You see your brain has these muscles such as willpower, discipline, motivation etc which have been weakened by pmo hence why you tend to find your self to procrastinate a lot. By starting off with the most simplest task you are exercising your willpower & discipline which will only increase and help you take on bigger tasks, and solve bigger problems.

By nature us humans are problem solvers, this is a natural instinct within us which pmo kills off, with all that clutter in your room your making it even harder for your brain to decide which task to do and which problem to solve which results in procrastination. so to summarise cleaning your room will help you focus on other things and it will give you mental clarity. Just like in games you always  defeat the smaller bosses first then its easier to take on other tasks.

 

 

 

Note: Congratulations! you made it this far looks like you have been exercising your will power muscles.  follow those steps and just push through and keep on trying and trying till you reach your goal. believe me you will fall many times! that’s the way it is, you must taste defeat and “temporary” failure to reach success, its the way the universe works, but as long you pick yourself back up you will make it through the tunnel, and you will see the light on the other side. Those steps mentioned above is from personal experience and has helped me get through the tunnel.

Also I wanted to mention that meditation is not a placebo, it just isn’t possible to quit pmo for good without regular meditation trust me start off with meditation and see the difference in your streaks.

Time is the best healer, if you follow those steps and read think and grow rich then overtime one thing will lead to another and slowly slowly you will see your life falling into place remember maintain positive thoughts it all starts with mind.

another book I would highly recommend is “The subtle art of not giving a f***” its a great book to start with and it will transform your way of thinking from negative to positive it will make you realise that happiness is our natural state and we have the choice to either be sad or happy, Positivity is key, you are what you think about and you attract what you think about, think positive and you will attract positivity into your life.
